Meet Olivia Hart – The Passion Behind Recipes Solutions
Hi there, friend — I’m Olivia Hart, the culinary storyteller, self-taught home chef, and creator of Recipes Solutions. I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m 35 years old, a proud wife to my best friend Eric, and mom to two wild-hearted and wonderful little ones: Lila, age 6, who already insists on “helping” me bake cookies, and Caleb, age 3, who mostly just wants to sneak chocolate chips when I’m not looking.
We live in the peaceful hills of Asheville, North Carolina, where the seasons are bold, the food is soulful, and the kitchen is the heart of my home. Our little yellow farmhouse is always buzzing — with laughter, sticky fingers, school lunches, and the scent of something delicious bubbling away on the stove.

How It All Began…
My love for food started in the most honest way — through memories. I grew up watching my grandmother cook everything from scratch. Her kitchen was her sanctuary. She didn’t just feed people; she nurtured them. Her chicken pot pie could heal a bad day, and her peach cobbler was better than any birthday cake.
Those early moments shaped me.
I didn’t go to culinary school, but I’ve spent years learning the old-fashioned way — recipe by recipe, one kitchen mistake at a time. Through trial, joy, and a few burnt casseroles, I found a rhythm. And what I realized is this:
Cooking isn’t just about following instructions. It’s about creating connection.
The Birth of Recipes Solutions
Recipes Solutions was born during a late night at the kitchen table — with a tired heart, a scribbled notebook, and a dream. I was in the middle of trying to cook better meals for my family while juggling motherhood, work, and the everyday chaos of life. I couldn’t find a space online that gave me both inspiration and practical help. Everything felt either too fancy or too fast-paced.
So I created the space I needed:
A warm, welcoming kitchen corner online — not just for recipes, but for solutions to real-life cooking challenges.
Here, you’ll find:
- Family-friendly meals that don’t require a culinary degree or 3 hours of prep
- Time-saving tips that help you get dinner on the table with your sanity intact
- Ingredient swaps for those “oh no, we’re out of eggs!” moments
- Meal planning help that fits your budget and schedule
- Kitchen confidence for beginners and seasoned cooks alike
A Few Personal Favorites…
- Favorite meal to cook on a Sunday: Slow-cooked beef stew with crusty sourdough bread
- Go-to weeknight dinner: Sheet pan chicken with lemon-garlic potatoes
- Kitchen soundtrack: Acoustic indie, kids giggling, or the sizzle of onions
- Secret weapon: My cast iron skillet — she’s been with me through everything!
- Dream dinner guests: Ina Garten, Joanna Gaines, and my grandma
What I Believe
Cooking should never feel intimidating, overwhelming, or like another box to check off your to-do list. It should feel like an invitation — to slow down, nourish your people, and create moments you’ll remember.
You don’t need a picture-perfect kitchen or a chef’s knife set to make a meal that matters. You just need a little encouragement, a good recipe, and a reminder that what you’re doing — feeding yourself and your loved ones — is a beautiful, meaningful act of love.
That’s what Recipes Solutions is all about.
